Retrieval-augmented assistant for new university students.
I led a seven-student team working with two IBM experts to build a Next.js assistant for new university students. The product reached 67 peak concurrent users during its final demonstration.
The system used IBM watsonx Assistant and a retrieval-augmented generation pipeline over a question-answer knowledge base. I implemented Milvus vector retrieval with a FLAT index and backend APIs for real-time grounded responses.
